Every year on the first Saturday in April, downtown Ann Arbor becomes the ultimate destination for cannabis enthusiasts. Experience Ann Arbor Hash Bash and Monroe Street Fair for history in the making.
Hash Bash
For over 50 years, Hash Bash has become the event for cannabis advocates and allies. Many partake in ‘high noon’ at The Diag on U-M campus and gather to hear prominent cannabis advocates. Past speakers include Tommy Chong and John Sinclair, whose arrest sparked protests that evolved into the Hash Bash we know today. Come for the fun, stay for the cause >.
Monroe Street Fair
Your Hash Bash trip isn’t complete without a visit to the Monroe Street Fair. This official ‘high noon’ post bash and street party is a free event filling public streets and sidewalks. Shop vendors and order from food trucks onsite. Head to beloved afterparty restaurant and bar, Dominick’s, and chill on the patio with new friends. This street fair welcomes ages 21+ only. After Hash Bash, cannabis connoisseurs can make the most of their time spent by visiting downtown bars and venues keeping the energy high with late-night music and dancing. Plan for after-parties at the Blind Pig and Club Above. More exciting events are planned across Ann Arbor during Hash Bash Saturday.
