Leni Sinclair, former wife of cannabis activist John Sinclair, will be featured at the Lost in Sound Detroit booth at the 21st Monroe Street Fair, Charlie Strackbein, co-founder of the annual commercial event that takes place on Monroe Street two blocks from the University of Michigan Diag where the Hash Bash is held.
She was the co-founder of the White Panther Party along with John Sinclair and Pun Plamondon. Leni is also a founder of the Rainbow People’s Party.
Leni, a noted photographer who lives in Detroit, has been an inspiration to a generation of women, radical political activists and fellow photo journalists, said Charlie Strackbein, co-founder of the Monroe Street Fair. She will be available for a meet-and-greet, he said.
Strackbein said the Monroe Street Fair still has booths available.
