 House of Dank will celebrate its 10-year anniversary May 17 H.O.D. will host parties for guests 21 years of age, featuring vendors, food trucks, deals, giveaways, special guest appearances and more.

From humble beginnings as caregivers to their status as a trusted leader in Michigan’s cannabis industry, House of Dank has grown to 12 locations statewide. Each location features a carefully curated selection of flower, edibles, concentrates, CBD products, and more. Over the past decade, House of Dank has not only set the standard for cannabis excellence, but also forged meaningful connections with customers and the communities it serves.

A Decade of Dedication

Since its founding in February 2015, House of Dank has continually adapted and thrived in the ever-evolving cannabis landscape. Key milestones and achievements over the past decade include:

  • Community Impact : Donating over $1 million to local charities and spearheading impactful initiatives such as block cleanups, holiday food drives, free expungement clinics for cannabis-related convictions, breast cancer awareness campaigns and more.
  • Retail Growth : What started with one location on 8 Mile in Detroit, slowly turned into the expansion to 12 retail locations across Michigan whilst winning awards along the way from community and cannabis leaders such as Weedmaps, Leafly, Adcann, Detroit Metro Times, Detroit Free Press and Hour Detroit.
  • Pioneering Events : Collaborating with industry-leading brands to educate customers on the benefits, uses, and responsible consumption of cannabis products. In 2023, H.O.D. introduced the first-ever recreational cannabis sales and consumption event integrated into Arts, Beats & Eats, a preexisting, 20+ year old festival in Michigan.
  • Award-Winning Products : Developing, launching and growing their award winning CBD line for humans and pets, including muscle freezes, tinctures, and pet treats.
  • Customer-Centric Services : Introducing convenient delivery options, the Clubhouse Rewards loyalty program, safe and secure locations and inclusive environments for all customers.
  • Employee Growth : Growing from a team of 10 employees in 2015 to over 500 team members today, many of whom have been with the company since its inception.

Looking Ahead

As House of Dank enters its next decade, the company is committed to continuing its legacy of innovation, community engagement, and product excellence. Plans for 2025 include expanding its retail footprint, opening new locations, and forging partnerships that further elevate the brand’s impact. “Ten years is just the beginning,” added Jamo. “We’re excited to continue growing, innovating, and serving our community for many more years to come.”
